TIG/MIG Welder

Dawson Metal Company is seeking a dependable and skilled TIG/MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team in Jamestown, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and productivity. Pay

• $22.00 – $26.00 per hour
• Wage based on welding experience, skill level, and certifications
• Overtime opportunities available

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG and MIG welding on metal components and assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and shop drawings.
• Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Grind, clean, and finish welded components as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Work closely with fabrication, production, and quality teams to meet production schedules.
• Assist with other fabrication and manufacturing duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of TIG and/or MIG welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Welding certifications are a plus but not required.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and handling materials.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, heat, and welding fumes.
