Aluminum MIG/TIG Welder

Job Overview

Dawson Metal Company is seeking an experienced Aluminum MIG/TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team in Jamestown, NY. We are looking for a dependable, quality-focused individual with experience welding aluminum components and assemblies in a production environment.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in both MIG and TIG welding processes, able to read blueprints, and committed to producing high-quality work safely and efficiently.

Pay

$22.00 – $26.00 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum parts and assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and welding symbols.
• Set up and adjust welding equipment for various aluminum fabrication projects.
• Inspect completed welds for quality, appearance, and dimensional accuracy.
• Grind, clean, and finish weldments as needed.
• Work closely with fabrication and production teams to ensure schedules are met.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

Required

• 2+ years of MIG and/or TIG welding experience.
• Experience welding aluminum.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Preferred

• Manufacturing or fabrication experience.
• Welding certifications.
• Experience with stainless steel and carbon steel welding.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and material handling.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
